Claude MORIN

PEINTRE SCULPTEUR


Coming from an old family of printers, Claude MORIN was born on April 30, 1946 in Sarrebourg, in Lorraine. He developed his taste for graphic arts at a young age and exhibited a true talent for painting and sculpture. 

Encouraged by his peers, he studied Decorative and Fine Art. His palette of glowing colours and pure tones won over countless collectors and his work has been shown worldwide. 

He created his first aluminium sculpture for President Georges Pompidou. In 1986, he set up his gallery studio in Saint Paul de Vence, deep in the countryside of Nice. 

Claude MORIN has won multiple prizes and distinctions in France and abroad, most notably :
- New York Gold Medal, Academia Italia Gold Metal and title of Academician, National Academy of Metz Art Award.
- European Foundation award recipient, Gold Medal from the city of Sarrebourg, Medal of vermeil from the Provence-Cote d'Azur Academy of Fine Arts Gold medal from the city of Aix en Provence.
- Member of the National Monegasque Committee of the International Association of Art in association with UNESCO under the honorary presidency of HRH Prince ALBERT II of Monaco.
